Duration of studies

  1. The duration of study for the award of a Master's degree is defined as:
  • For full-time postgraduate students, full-time the program is completed in 2 academic semesters, while the thesis work takes place during the summer months so that studies are completed in September. The maximum duration of study is 4 semesters for full-time students.
  • For part-time students, the minimum duration of study is 4 semesters, and the maximum is 8 semesters. Accordingly, for part-time study, courses will take place during the two winter and spring semesters, and the thesis assignment can be made during the summer period before the start of the second year.
  1. If the maximum study period is exceeded, the Director informs the Graduate Studies Committee (G.S.C.), which decides on the student's expulsion.
  1. For serious reasons and upon the student's request, the G.S.C. may extend the study period following a reasoned proposal from the academic committee. In such cases, no additional tuition fees are charged.
  2. Each postgraduate student has the right to request a one-time suspension of studies for a period not exceeding two (2) consecutive semesters. The semesters of suspension of student status are not counted towards the maximum study duration.
