The container technology, also called as ‘lightweight virtualization’, brings new opportunities in industry as well as important research challenges. More and more companies are adopting the container technology and containers have become the de-facto standard for creating, publishing, and running applications. The session will introduce the software containers, how they are different from other kinds of virtualization technologies, and what advantages they can offer in development and operations processes.
Mrs. Vasiliki Liagkou has twelve years experience as a telecommunication engineer. She is a member of an international global vendor support team of Atos Unify providing third level support for SaaS cloud solutions. She has worked in highly complex enterprise solutions for projects mainly in EU providing remote or on-site support when is needed. She participates in root cause analysis initiatives and customer problem diagnosis sessions working closely with service and development organizations so as to meet customer SLAs and internal product house OLA objectives. She holds a bachelor degree in Informatics and telecommunications and a master degree in telecommunication networks from Harokopio university of Athens.
